RESOLUTION NO. 3 1 54
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCll.. OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO SIGN- AGREE:MENTS AFFECTING REAL
PROPERTIES IN THE INSTALLATION OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS r
WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority under State law to establish and require the
installation of public improvements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has exercised said authority in connection with the issuance of building
permits and other development projects; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works reviews and approves engineering plans for such projects;
and
WHEREAS, Municipal Code Chapter 15 provides the minimum requirements and standards for the
installation of such public improvements; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works monitors installation of such public improvements and
is charged with upholding the professional engineering standards of the City; and
WHEREAS, the approval and e.xecution by the Public Works Director of routine agreements relating
to the installation of public improvements win promote efficiency of City resources and expedite the
overall development process; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande
hereby delegates to the Director of Public Works of the City of Arroyo Grande, the authority to
prepare, approve, and execute agreements on behalf of the City, for the installation of improvements
affecting development projects and for improvement security related thereto. excluding those projects
for which subdivision maps are required as well as those agreements that by law, require execution
by an authorized member of the City Council per municipal code and statutory procedures.
