RESOLUTION NO. 3145
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
ESTABLISHING A PRIORITY LIST FOR UNDERGROUND PROJECTS

WHEREAS, the city of Arroyo Grande (City) has established an !

ouerh~ad utility undergrounding program in accordance with the .

Cnlifornia Public utility commission's (CPUC) Rule 20A; and ,

WHERE^S, th~ city intends to continue undergrounding overhead
utility facilities in accordance with this program; and
WHEREAS, the city has conditioned various commercial developments
along major corridors within the city to underground their
utilities in anticipation of a more comprehensive underground
utility program in the future; and
WHEREAS, the city now wishes to establish a list of projects that
will draw upon these funds possibly in conjunction with other
funds made available from private development and other sources.
NOW, THEREFORE, BElT RESOLVED THAT:
The streets hav~~priority to be undergrounded are Grand Avenue
from Highway loi\~~terly to the city limits .bf Grover Beach and
Halcyon Road soutBerly from Grand Avenue to F~~r .b~k Avenue.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that these major corridor routes may be
constructed in phases in accordance with available funds and in
coordination with the undergrounding of utilities through private
development projects.
On motion of Council Member Souza, seconded by Council Member
Fuller, and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: council Members Souza, Fuller, Lady, and Mayor Dougall
NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Member Brandy
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 28th day of
May, 199 .
