RESOLUTION NO. 3 1 28
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIlE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE REQUESTINGAUTHOIDZATION
TO CLOSE CITY STREETS FOR TIm ARROYO VALLEY
CUSTOM CAR SHOW
WHEREAS, organizers of the 1996 Arroyo Grande Valley Custom Car Show have
requested closure of portions of Mason, Bridge, Nelson, and Short Streets and the Olohan
Alley /City Hall Parking Lot for the annual custom automobile exhibition on Saturday July
27, 1996; and
WHEREAS, members of the Arroyo Grande Valley Car Club will be responsible for traffic
control and cleanup at the show.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIffi CI1Y OF ARROYO GRANDE
HEREBY RESOL YES AS FOLLOWS;
1. That East Branch Street between Bridge and Short Streets will be posted with
"No Parking" signs on the south side only from 6:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday
July 27, 1996, for purposes of registration of car show participants;
2. That Bridge Street, from Branch Street to Traffic Way; Nelson Street, from
Bridge Street to Mason Street, with the intersection at Short Street remaining
clear and open; Short Street, from Branch Street to Olohan Alley; and the
Olohan Alley/City Hall Parking Lot, shall be closed from 6:00 a.m.. to 6:00
p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 1996, and that Mason Street from Branch Street to
Nelson Street be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. ~n Saturday, July 27,
1996 for the purposes of displaying the custom cars; and
3. That the Club adhere to certain requirements and conditions set forth by the
Public Works, Police, and Fire Departments regarding security and traffic
control and other applicable conditions of a Temporary Use Permit to be
issued by the City. .
On motion of Council Member Souza , seconded by Council Member Fuller,
and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Souza, Fuller, Brandy, Lady and Mayor Dougall
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted this 26th day of March, 1996.
