A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO
GRANDE REQUESTING AUTHORIZATION TO CLOSE CITY STREETS
FOR THE ARROYO GRANDE FOURTH OF JULY IN THE VILLAGE

I organizers of the 1996 Fourth of July in the Village
; WHEREAS ,
have requested closure of Short Street and the Olohan Alley/city
Halol Parking Lot for the annual Fourth of July in the Village
exhibition on Friday and Saturday, July 5 & 6, 1996; and
WHEREAS, members of the Fourth of July in the Village will be
responsible for traffic control and cleanup at the event.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
1. Short Street, from Branch Street to Olohan Alley, and
the Olohan Alley/City Hall Parking Lot shall be closed
from 6:00 a.m. Friday, July 5, to 6:00 p.m. Saturday,
July 6, 1996, for the purposes of food and vendor
booths; and
2. That a notice will be placed in the local
newspaper advertising the event; and
3. That the Fourth of July Committee will adhere to
certain requirements and conditions as set forth by the
Fire Department.regarding food booths and outdoor
events; and
4. That members of the Fourth of July Committee will be
responsible for the proper amount of restroom
facilities, trash dumpsters, and cleanup of affected
areas during and after the event; and
5. That the Fourth of July Committee will provide a
$1,000,000 insurance policy noting the city as
additional insured; and
6. That the Fourth of July Committee will adhere to
certain requirements and conditions set forth by the
~ Police Department regarding security and traffic
f control.
On motion of Council Member Fuller seconded by Council
