RESOLUTION NO. 3114
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE APPROVING TIlE SITING
ELEMENT AND SUMMARY PLAN
WHEREAS, the California Legislature has enacted the California Integrated Waste
Management Act of 1989 (Public Resources Code Section 40000 et seq.); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 41700 et seq. and related provisions
r:: of the California Code of Regulations, a County-wide "Siting Element" and "Summary Plan"
(copies of which are attached hereto as Exhibits "A" and "B," respectively, and incorporated
I :' herein by this reference) have been prepared and circulated by the San Luis Obispo County
Integrated Waste Management Authority (the "Authority") in accordance with law; and .
. WHEREAS, on November 8, 1995, the Authority adopted the Siting Element and
Summary Plan; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 41700 et seq. and related provisions
of the California Code of Regulations, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande has
reviewed and considered the Siting Element and Summary Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande conducted a public hearing
and considered public comments on the Siting Element and Summary Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Arroyo
Grande hereby approves the Siting Element and Summary Plan.
On motion of Council Member Fuller , seconded by Council Member Souza ,
and by the following roll call vote, to wit:
A YES: Council Members Fuller, Souza, Lady, and Mayor IXnlga1l
NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Member Brandy
